Paradise(TM)

Scientific's Paradise(TM) provides a friendly virtual shared memory programming environment that enables creation of powerful, fault-tolerant distributed codes, including multi-program ensemble applications, which can target networks and clusters of PowerPC's and other systems. Paradise's Piranha interface enables users' distributed programs and ensemble applications to dynamically target networked systems according to user-defined availability criteria, such as cp load balance and/or frequency of keyboard and mouse entries. With Paradise and Piranha, otherwise idle network systems work together to support distributed, fault-tolerant jobs, while preserving a high level of interactive service for each user. In additon, every Paradise software system includes a full suite of garphics-based debugging, performance analysis, and other tools to assist programmers in the rapid and successful deployment of distributed and ensemble applications.
